The 35th Annual Member Meeting of the BDL
CODIX at the 35th Annual Member Meeting of the BDL
CODIX will participate in the 35th Annual Member Meeting of the Federal Association of German Leasing Companies (BDL). The event will take place on Wednesday, 7 November 2018, in Cologne, Germany. The official part starts at 10:45AM and the venue is the Dorint Hotel am Heumarkt, Pipinstraße 1, 50667 Cologne.
The Federal Association of German Leasing Companies (BDL) is the Berlin-based umbrella organization that represents the interests of the German leasing sector.
The leasing companies generate 67.00 worth of investment business in 2017. 54% of all externally financed investments, and 24,1% of overall investments in machinery and equipment, are made through leasing agreements. In fifty years, leasing in Germany has established itself as the number-one investment tool in all branches of industry and commerce, and, in particular, in the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector.
Around 152 leasing companies, ranging from medium-sized businesses to international leasing concerns, have joined forces under the aegis of the BDL to engage in dialogue with legislators, public authorities, and the interested public at large about the possibilities this form of financing offers. The BDL’s membership accounts for more than more than 90 percent of the German leasing-market, so it can justly claim to be the central forum for discussion of all matters relating to leasing in Germany.
The Association focuses on providing accurate information about leasing in general, about the market for this financing product, and about the companies that provide leasing services. The BDL sees and positions leasing as an alternative to the traditional ways of financing capital goods. It keeps in close contact with other commercial sectors, in particular with the credit-services sector.
