UNIX and Oracle RDBMS Administrator

Primary responsibilities:

To provide an advanced support to the development team and the company clients in the area of UNIX
To participate in the installation and set-up of the company software product
To perform analyses of SQL code / logical database structure and propose and perform optimization changes
To observe performance of data processing at physical/logical level and look for tuning possibilities
To act as a member of the team for day-to-day maintenance of the company client environments

Requirements:

In-depth knowledge in UNIX systems - AIX and/or HP-UX and/or Solaris - process management, resource management, performance tuning and problem solving
Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS (8i/9i/10g); Understanding of Oracle Optimizer (RBO,CBO), SQL tuning and optimization, logical database tuning and optimization; Comprehension of physical database tuning and optimization.
High level of self motivation
Eagerness to learn various new subjects in the area of IT
Fluency in English
Ability to work under pressure
