We are looking for an experienced, independent and highly responsible ACCOUNTANAT with proven professional integrity to take full responsibility for the accounting operations of two subsidiaries within our Group: Domaine Saint George, a winery and production company, and a small trading company.
The Group’s main company is based in Sofia, and the successful candidate will be responsible for the complete accounting cycle of the two subsidiaries – from the day-to-day processing and recording of accounting documents to the preparation, finalization and signing of the Annual Financial Statements.
This is a highly autonomous position, ideal for an experienced accounting professional who is comfortable taking full ownership of the accounting function and who is committed to accuracy, compliance and high professional standards.

Обязанности:
Full Ownership of Accounting
• Manage the complete end-to-end accounting process for two subsidiaries within the Group
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timely maintenance of all accounting records, ledgers and financial information
• Perform both operational accounting activities and higher-level financial accounting and reporting
Statutory Accounting & Financial Reporting
• Prepare, finalize and sign the Annual Financial Statements in accordance with the Bulgarian Accountancy Act
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation
• Prepare and submit all required monthly, quarterly and annual statutory reports and filings
Tax Compliance
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, VIES declarations, Intrastat declarations and other relevant tax filings
• Monitor tax compliance and ensure timely and accurate communication with the National Revenue Agency (NAP) and other relevant institutions
Daily Accounting Operations
• Process and record invoices, primary accounting documents and other financial transactions
• Process payments and monitor bank transactions and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records with a high level of precision and attention to detail
Production & Inventory Accounting
• Monitor production-related costs and support the accurate accounting of production activities at the winery
• Track production costs and cost of goods produced, as applicable
• Oversee inventory documentation, stock movements and inventory accounting
• Support and participate in stock-taking and inventory control processes
Stakeholder Management
• Act as the primary accounting contact for the National Revenue Agency (NAP), auditors, banks and external advisors
• Work closely with the Group management and local management of the subsidiaries
• Provide accurate and timely financial information and professional accounting advice when required
• Manage the complete end-to-end accounting process for two subsidiaries within the Group
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timely maintenance of all accounting records, ledgers and financial information

Требования:
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
• Must meet the legal requirements to act as a preparer/signatory of Financial Statements under Article 18 of the Bulgarian Accountancy Act
• At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting
• Proven experience as a Chief Accountant, Sole Accountant or Senior Accountant with responsibility for the full accounting cycle
• Strong knowledge of Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation
• Practical experience with Navigator accounting software.
• Very good knowledge of MS Excel
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory
• A hands-on approach and willingness to combine high-level financial oversight with day-to-day accounting activities
• High level of independence, organization, accuracy and accountability
• Demonstrated professional integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information
• Must meet the legal requirements to act as a preparer/signatory of Financial Statements under Article 18 of the Bulgarian Accountancy Act
• At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting
• Proven experience as a Chief Accountant, Sole Accountant or Senior Accountant with responsibility for the full accounting cycle
• Strong knowledge of Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation
• Practical experience with Navigator accounting software.
• Very good knowledge of MS Excel
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory
